Adrien Nortier met Ben Shallow while studying a fashion BTEC at Basingstoke College of Technology. They collaborated of their final major project, exploring the idea of male bridal wear and have been hooked on bridal ever since!
'The Boys' started working with Brides of Odiham in 2012, under their original label 'Bahbua'. They initially created jackets and fur capes under the watchful eye of Barbara Ryder. When Barbara retired in 2013, the boys took over all the alterations for the boutique, which soon became Boo.
In 2014, the boys opened Boo bridal boutique in Hartley Wintney with Anna Johnson and started expanding their bespoke dressmaking and alterations services. In 2015 they added bridesmaids' collections from Dessy as well as launching their own range on multi-way dresses.
In 2016 the boys started looking to expand again by launching their own bridal wear label, after nearly a year of form filling, knocking walls and ceilings down and plenty of painting, they opened their new studio boutique in Basingstoke. This new location has a studio adjacent to an elegant fitting room, so brides can see where the magic happens!
